(April 2016) Mr. Levy participated in a panel discussion of opportunities for advisors and CEFEX analysts posed by the new fiduciary rule and the onslaught of 401k fiduciary breach claims.
(March 2016) Mr. Levy’s presentation was on building trust in 401Ks and how prudent practices protect unwary plan sponsors from issues arising from post Tibble v. Edison fiduciary breach lawsuits.
(October 2015) Mr. Levy participated in a panel discussion of DOL Fiduciary Standard for Investment Advisors & Recent Fee Litigation Cases & Legal Developments. Joined by Tom Clark, JD, of counsel, The Wagner Law Group, and Al Otto, Shepard Kaplan, with Moderator, Mark McCoy, Retirement Fund Management.
(March 2015) Mr. Levy, along with Troy Doles, Esq. of Schlichter, Bogard and Denton, discussed Tibble v. Edison, the fiduciary duty to monitor investments following initial selection, and the current state of fiduciary breach litigation.
(March 2015) The annual retreat brings together consultants from all over the country to discuss issues facing investment consultants and their clients. Mr. Levy lead a discussion on the fiduciary responsibilities of consultants and the litigation risks they face in the defined contribution plan market as well as the risks posed when accepting delegated responsibility.
(January 2015) Mr. Levy participated in a panel discussion entitled “Outsourcing: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” and pointed out the fiduciary weakness in many outsourcing models.
